Used by some of the world’s elite military units the SMT snatch block is a lightweight heavy duty recovery aid rated to 12t WLL with a 24t MBS. It is available in multiple configurations to match your choice of restraint and line. The split sheave design ensures the winch line remains contained even when off load and it will be guided into the pulley wheel as load is applied.
High Capacity
Delivering a maximum 12t (26,455lb) WLL and 30t MBS (52,910lb) the snatch block is designed with a 2:1 factor of safety.
Soft Shackles or Bow Shackles
Available in 2 profiles suiting either soft shackles or bow shackles the pully block can be configured to best match the rest of your recovery equipment. Soft shackle inserts made from stainless steel ensure a durable, hard-wearing surface.
Synthetic Line or Cable
2 pulley wheel configurations available to match to your choice of synthetic line or cable. SMT’s synthetic line pulley wheel is specifically designed with a flat groove to allow the line to pull flat and maximise strength. Pulley wheels are interchangeable.
Low Maintenance
Almost maintenance free the snatch block can be easily dismantled and serviced in the field with no special tools required. Made from stainless steel, aerospace grade aluminium and high-grade engineering plastic the SMT snatch block is designed to last even the most difficult conditions.
