The SMT OLPD is a UK MoD approved device complaint with 2590-E-100-013. Fully configurable to support any electric winch SMT’s OLPD provides a consistent, safe, load based cutout. The system is configurable to winches with both electric and pneumatic brakes and does not interfere with free-spool functionality. Suitable for both integrated and demountable winches. Diagnostic LEDs can be integrated with vehicle systems to support Visible light, Blackout and IR functionality.

Fully configurable the systems functionality can be defined through calibration files selectable at the point of installation but not configurable by the user. Configurable CAN output enables a load estimate, and max load to be presented via any CAN based display. Patents apply.
